Record Store Day was last weekend, but Van Halen are going to keep up that spirit of getting vinyl at record stores next Friday. A limited edition 7-inch vinyl single of "She's The Woman" will be available for free starting next Friday with the purchase of the band's new album, A Different Kind of Truth, at independent record storesaround the country.

Creedand AlterBridge guitarist Mark Tremonti has set July 10th as the release date for his solo album All I Was. The first single, "You Waste Your Time," will be out in the middle of May.

Tremonti will hit the road later this year. His backing band will include the two musicians he recorded the album with -- Eric Friedman on rhythm guitar and Garrett Whitlock on drums -- and his Creed/Alter Bridge bandmate Brian Marshall on bass.

Coheed and Cambriafinally have a bassist who won't try to rob a drug store while on tour. Former AM to AM bassist Zach Cooper has joined the band and was introduced with a video on their website. The band's first gig with Cooper is Sunday in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Former bassist Michael Todd is awaiting trial for armed robbery after having held up a Walgreens in Massachusetts in an attempt to score some prescription drugs before an opening gig for Soundgarden last summer.
